Walter (Wally) Walston

Walter E. (Wally) Walston October 22, 1936 - October 14, 2012 Born in Bakersfield and passed away in Abilene Texas. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and two brothers. He is survived by a daughter, Dena Somers of Cambria Pines, a brother, James Walston of Vista, and numerous family members in Texas. Wally was born in Bakersfield and spent most of his youth around Arvin. He graduated from Arvin High, and then spent most of his life working in the oilfields in California and around the world. He lived in Texas the last forty years. The great love of his life was his wife, Holly. Holly passed away after a short illness on Saturday, October 13, 2012. A grieving Wally then passed on the following day, Sunday October 14, 2012 of an apparent heart attack. Services will be held at Lytle South Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas on October 18, 2012.
